Hi, I’m Maddy. I am a recent graduate of the University of North Carolina School of the Arts with a BFA in contemporary dance and a minor in arts entrepreneurship. Raised in Boston MA, I am a proud product of my thirteen years spent in the Boston Public Schools system.  My environment has made me tough, open minded and strong willed. I attended the city's only public high school for the arts, Boston Arts Academy, before auditioning for UNCSA in 2018. Growing up, I studied with Tony Williams, an altruistic artist who focuses on Diversity through Dance in the city of Boston. These experiences emphasized to me the importance of equity in the arts and I hope to become a leader in making dance more accessible to all people and communities. Currently, I am researching how I can use dance to nurture healing. I move between mediums, with my primary ways of art-making being choreography, film, audio building, and spoken word. I believe in creative experimentation and lead with open-minded curiosity.
